Williams Brothers has a rich history that stems back to Grogan’s great grandfather, H.R. Williams, who founded Williams Brothers Lumber Co. in the 1920s with two mules and a great deal of hard work. The company grew into a major player in the construction industry, eventually expanding into concrete and helping to shape Atlanta’s growth post-WWII. It’s safe to say the passion for growth ran in the family as many in Williams’ lineage continued to have successful careers in construction and development, helping to expand many of Atlanta’s suburbs.
